4 TESDA Courses (FREE Training, Materials & Assessment)

Are you eighteen (18) years old and above and at least a high school graduate? Keep reading because this will surely be worth your while.

Technical Education Skills Development Authority or commonly known as TESDA is now offering free training on courses like Cookery NC II, Food and Beverage Services NC II, Bread and Pastry Production NC II, and Food and Beverage Services NC III.

Most of the students in TESDA would be devastatingly problematic about the expenses of what they are assigned to prepare and cook in that day’s session. In other words, not all free are really free but here comes a saviour for this, TESDA FREE TRAINING. The said training will also be free of assessment and materials. Meaning, an enrolee doesn’t have to worry about anything regarding the course. But before anything would go easy as free, one has to religiously submit the following requirements:

• Resume or Bio Data
• Copy of Barangay Clearance
• Copy of TOR or Form 138
• Copy of Birth Certificate
• 5 pieces of 1 x 1 picture with white background (formal attire should be worn)
• 4 pieces of passport size picture (formal attire should be worn)

COOKERY NC II

This short term course is the acquisition of skills and training on how to prepare hot and cold meals and desserts for customers or guests in restaurants or food and beverages facilities. The course would also include skill in preparing seafood, egg, starch, vegetables, and meat dishes.

The course will be finished within 40 days.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES NC II

This short term course is the acquisition of skills and training on how to prepare and provide food and beverages to customers to places like restaurants, clubs, canteens, hotels, motels, luxury liners and resorts.

The course will be finished within 45 days.

BREAD AND PASTRY PRODUCTION NC II

This short term course is the acquisition of skills and training on how to prepare, store and decorate bakery and pastry products. The course would also include knowledge on better presenting and serving desserts as well as packing them attractively and nicely.

The course will be finished within 18 days.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES NC III

This short term course is the acquisition of skills and training on how to deliver and supervise food and beverage service operations to customers to places like restaurants, clubs, canteens, hotels, motels, luxury liners and resorts.

The course will be finished within 29 days.

Bartending offered by TESDA this Year (Free Course)

Job opportunities are booming as 2019 enters. One of the trending courses that TESDA is offering is Bartending. More or less 600 students of TESDA graduated last December 2017, and 70 of them took Bartending as their course.

An enjoyable course which has become in demand in Hotels, Bars, and Restaurants. This free course has captivated the interest of the people for its creative nature as well as its way of service. This free course is open to everyone even if you are not really into alcohols.

Bartending's training is all about preparing cocktails or non-alcoholic beverages, how to provide basic wine services, and how to clean and operate the bar. All this for free! Bartending's training duration consists of almost Three (3) months. You may work as a Bartender or manage your own Bar using the Mobile Bar.

TESDA Offer 5,000 Foreign Language Scholarship

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) of the Philippines is giving almost 5000 scholarship for our Filipino workers who want to learn writing and speaking the different dialects of other countries.

For almost 5,000 scholarships and free training that will be given, a grantee could choose to enroll in learning either English, Japanese, Mandarin, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Germany, and Bahasa.

The said organization wishes to help not only our Overseas Filipino Workers but also Filipinos who are working in the country so they initiate with this program.

As Deputy Director General for Policies and Planning of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Rosanna Urdaneta said that according to one of the studies in America, a person should know at least 2 major languages and their cultures to surely help him easily adopt.

In order to avail the scholarship, the applicant must be a Filipino citizen, of legal age and at least High School graduate.

The scholarship is a first come, first served basis so even a Filipino who works in the Philippines could apply for it. You should only first register online through the TESDA website (www.tesda.gov.ph) and wait for their confirmation.

Upon application, the applicant also needs to prepare for the following documentary requirements:

• Original and photocopy of any of the ff: College or High school diploma, transcript of record, training certificate from TESDA registered program, NC/COC issued by TESDA.
• 3 pcs 1x1 and 2x2 photo with white background.

Top 10 TESDA Vocational Courses

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) of the Philippines is one of the agencies that offer short and free vocational courses to everybody especially to those youths who can’t be able to send in colleges by their parents.
The government made their initiative to establish this organization aiming to help and Filipinos in order to have at least a decent job after finishing and learning to TESDA.

4. Bread and pastry production - 47,728 enrollees

7. shielded metal arc welding (course I) - 27,839
8. Computer systems servicing - 24,468 enrollees
9. Bookkeeping - 23,569 enrollees
10. Contact center services - 23,228 enrollees

After graduating from the programs given by TESDA, trainees will be given a National Certificate from TESDA Assessment that comes with benefits that include a quality assurance that the graduate has acquired proper knowledge and an understanding of the task at hand from undergoing a series of practical and hands-on demonstrations, positive attitudes from interviews with people who contribute to the job and work projects. Not only that, but the certificate will also guarantee that the graduate has acquired the values that can help his/her skills needed for the said occupation and for future opportunities that can follow from the success of the current project.

TESDA eyes to hold Language Proficiency, Culture Training for OFWs

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) offered different and free short courses. It includes here the Language Proficiency Course. The TESDA aims to help trainees in order for them to gain a basic or intermediate knowledge and understanding of a particular language which they will use in their future career within or outside the country.

The TESDA as one of the leading career developer in the country is now making another move to mold the language proficiency aspect of our workers through their coordination with foreign embassies targeting to build up more not only the language proficiency but also the culture training of Filipinos who want to work abroad. The foreign embassies including Spain, People’s Republic of China, United Kingdom, Vietnam, Malaysia, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Japan, Korea, Italy, France, Russia and Germany are the countries where Philippines will be making the possible tie-up. TESDA Director General Guiling Mamondiong has already sent a letter for those countries regarding the proposal.

Mamondiong said that through this initiative, it will surely help Filipinos who want to work overseas for them to be more effective and productive in speaking the languages they used in that country as well as their culture. According to a survey, possessing and knowing then the languages and the different cultures by the employees in the country they wish to work for is a big advantage because this will make their service on their employer be better.

In connection to this, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority also made their immediate plan to coordinate to the Department of Employment in order for this project to pursue.
