The Local Government of Merida Leyte headed by Mayor Rolando Villasencio through the Merida Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) and Merida Public Employment and Services Office (PESO) offers free training to the following TESDA Short courses: 

• Housekeeping NC II 
• Driving NC II  
• Bookkeeping NC III

TESDA Housekeeping NC II Scholarship: Mag-aral at Magkatrabaho

The Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is implementing its scholarship program in TESDA Housekeeping NC II at the Asian Business Cabletow Cooperative Academy.

The scholarship program will be accommodating 20 scholars only on a first-come, first-served basis.

Interested applicants must keep in mind the following qualifications and requirements:

Qualifications:

• Filipino Citizen
• At least 15 years old
• At least a Junior High School graduate
• With an annual family income of Php300,000 and below

TESDA Housekeeping Course Complete Details

Filipinos are known for being hospitable in every way, thus, a lot of countries are demanding Filipino housekeepers now-a-days. The country that demands housekeepers, the most, is Japan for its aging population, though, there are a lot of other countries, looking for housekeepers. For this matter, a short course: Housekeeping is being offered by TESDA which will train you in preparing guest rooms, cleaning premises and equipment, washing linen and guest clothes, providing housekeeping services and providing valet services to hotels, motels, clubs, hospitals, resorts, dormitories and luxury liners. Completing this short course will grant you the title of being a professional housekeeper. It is different from being ordinary Cleaning services because you will get a privilege to work abroad.

Here are some examples of skills that you will acquire from enrolling in this course:

• Developing and updating industry knowledge
• Observing workplace hygiene procedures
• Performing computer operations
