Want to improve your driving skills and prepare for work on the road? The Driving NC II STEP Scholarship is now open for applications, giving interested learners a chance to develop practical skills through TESDA-supported training.
For aspiring drivers, proper training can help build confidence, safer driving habits, and a better understanding of vehicle care. This scholarship offers an opportunity to work toward those goals without paying tuition for the covered training.
About TESDA Driving NC II
Driving NC II is a TESDA qualification focused on operating light motor vehicles. It helps learners develop the skills needed to drive responsibly and handle basic vehicle maintenance.
The core competencies include:
- Driving a light vehicle
- Following traffic rules and regulations
- Performing minor vehicle maintenance and servicing
- Carrying out accident and emergency procedures
Trainees also develop workplace communication, professionalism, and safety practices. To earn a National Certificate II (NC II), candidates must demonstrate competence in the required skills and pass the national competency assessment. Completing the training alone does not automatically award an NC II.
What Is the TESDA STEP Scholarship?
STEP stands for Special Training for Employment Program. It is a community-based TESDA program that helps people gain practical skills for employment, self-employment, and service-based livelihood opportunities.
