If you’re looking for a practical skill that can lead to work opportunities in meat processing, slaughterhouse operations, or related industries, a new TESDA scholarship opportunity is now accepting applicants.
Through the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), qualified applicants can train in Slaughtering Operations (Swine) NC II without paying the regular training cost. The program is being offered by Infinity Vocational Training School, Inc. (IVTSI) and is sponsored by Congressman Antonio “Ony” Ferrer.
About Slaughtering Operations (Swine) NC II
Slaughtering Operations (Swine) NC II is a competency-based TESDA qualification designed to develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to perform swine slaughtering operations safely and properly.
Training may cover proper animal handling, workplace sanitation, food safety practices, use of tools and equipment, and procedures involved in preparing pork products according to industry standards.
After completing the required training, qualified trainees may undergo the TESDA National Competency Assessment. Those who successfully pass the assessment may earn the corresponding National Certificate (NC II).
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants can receive:
- Free tuition, with the training reportedly valued at ₱20,000
- Free TESDA National Competency Assessment
- Practical and industry-relevant technical-vocational training

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Must be a Filipino citizen
- Must currently reside in General Trias City, Cavite
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be at least a High School or Senior High School graduate
- Must be unemployed during the duration of the training
This particular scholarship is intended exclusively for qualified Gentriseños.
