A new scholarship opportunity is now open for qualified applicants in Carmen, Davao del Norte.
Santo Niño Agriculture and Machinery Technical Institute, Inc. is currently accepting scholarship applicants for Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II under TESDA’s Special Training for Employment Program (STEP).
This program is a great opportunity for individuals who want to improve their welding skills without worrying about training costs. Senior High School graduates or students under the TVL Track who meet the qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
SMAW NC II Training Schedule
The training is expected to begin on: September 2, 2026
Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their requirements as early as possible since scholarship slots may be limited.
Who Can Apply?
According to the announcement, the scholarship is open to applicants who are:
- Out-of-school youth
- Currently unemployed or without work
- At least 18 years old
- Senior High School applicants under the TVL Track who meet the program requirements
Applicants should also have an SMAW NC I Certificate, as this is included among the required documents.
Requirements for SMAW NC II Scholarship
Prepare clear copies of the following documents:
- PSA Birth Certificate
- School records
- SMAW NC I Certificate
- Valid ID

Free Tool Kit- Participants are also entitled to a free tool kit, which can help them practice and apply the skills they learn during training.
