TESDA Scholarship: Housekeeping NC II

Good news! Bohol Tech Voc, Inc. is now accepting scholars for TESDA Housekeeping NC II. This is under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) of TESDA. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) photocopies of the ff docs:
  • 1. Form 137/TOR/Diploma
  • 2. Birth Certificate
  • 3. Barangay clearance
  • 4. Pictures in white background, with collar attire (identical):
  • four pcs. 1x1, four pcs. 2x2 and five pcs Passport size

Must be fastened in a long GREEN folder. Please present original documents upon enrollment for verification.

The TESDA Housekeeping NC II program covers a wide range of competencies related to cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities. Some of the topics that may be included in the curriculum are:

  1. Cleaning Procedures - Participants learn different cleaning techniques, methods, and equipment used in housekeeping operations. This includes knowledge of proper sanitation practices, waste management, and handling of hazardous materials.
  2. Guest Room Preparation - This module focuses on the proper preparation of guest rooms, including bed-making, replenishing amenities, arranging furniture, and ensuring overall cleanliness and orderliness.
  3. Laundry Operations - Participants are taught about proper laundry procedures, including sorting, washing, ironing, folding, and storing linens and garments.
  4. Public Area Maintenance - This module covers the cleaning and maintenance of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and other common spaces. Participants learn techniques for floor care, dusting, polishing, and maintaining the overall appearance of these areas.
  5. Customer Service - Housekeeping personnel often interact with guests, so this module emphasizes the importance of good customer service skills, effective communication, and professionalism.

Upon successful completion of the program and assessment, participants are awarded the National Certificate (NC) II in Housekeeping by TESDA. This certification can enhance employment opportunities in the hospitality industry, including hotels, resorts, cruise ships, and other related establishments.
