The TESDA Cookery NC II course provides learners with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to perform the tasks of a professional cook. It covers various topics such as food preparation and handling, menu planning, and cooking techniques.
The program is designed for individuals who wish to work in the food service industry, particularly in restaurants, hotels, and catering services. It is also suitable for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to start their own food business.
The Cookery NC II program typically takes around 318 hours or 40 days to complete, and it includes both theoretical and practical components. Learners will be taught about the basic concepts and principles of cookery, including sanitation and hygiene, nutrition, and food costing. They will also learn how to prepare and cook various dishes, such as appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
Eligibility of Beneficiaries:
- Must be a Filipino Citizen
- At least 18 years of age at the end of the training
- No educational attainment is required (Graduate or undergraduate in Elementary, High School or College can apply)
- 1 Photocopy of Form 137 / Elementary/High School/College diploma (Any of the following, applicable to you)
- 1 Photocopy of PSA/NSO Birth Certificate
- Original copy of Barangay Indigency Certificate
- 4 Pcs of Passport size ID picture in formal attire with a nametag and white background
- 4 Pcs of Passport size ID picture in formal attire with white background
