TESDA SCHOLARSHIP ALERT: Free Training with Allowance


Looking for a chance to learn a practical skill, improve your qualifications, and prepare for better job opportunities?

St. Laurence Institute of Technology is now accepting applicants for Batch 5 of its TESDA Scholarship Programs. Training may begin as early as next week, so interested applicants are encouraged to prepare their requirements and apply early.

This opportunity may be especially helpful for those who are currently unemployed, out of school, or looking for a fresh start through skills training.

Available TESDA Programs

Applicants may choose from the following courses:

  • Bookkeeping NC III
  • Technical Drafting NC II
  • Dressmaking NC II

These programs focus on practical and hands-on learning that can help trainees develop useful skills for employment, freelancing, livelihood, or future business opportunities.

What Can Qualified Scholars Receive?

Qualified applicants may receive:

  • ✅ Free TESDA training
  • ✅ ₱160 per day training allowance
  • ✅ Opportunity to earn a National Certificate (NC) after successfully completing the training and passing the required competency assessment

That means you can gain valuable skills while receiving financial support during your training period.

Who May Apply?

According to the announcement, applicants should generally be:

📌 At least 18 years old
📌 Not currently enrolled in school
📌 Not currently employed
📌 Not undergoing another training program
📌 Displaced workers are also encouraged to apply

Priority may be given to applicants who fall under the NEET category, which means Not in Education, Employment, or Training.

Requirements to Prepare

Interested applicants are advised to prepare the following:

  • PSA Birth Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate for married women, if applicable
  • SF-9 / Report Card for high school graduates
  • Transcript of Records or TOR for college graduates or undergraduates
  • 3 recent 1×1 ID pictures
  • 6 passport-size colored ID pictures with white background, collar, no name tag, and ears visible
