Qualified applicants may now apply for the FREE Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II training offered by Eastern Star Institute of Science & Technology Inc.
Aside from free training, qualified scholars may also receive free assessment, a daily training allowance, and a toolkit.
Training Schedule and Duration
The SMAW NC II program will be conducted through face-to-face classes.
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Target Start Date: October 28, 2026
Applicants should make sure they can commit to the training schedule before applying, since regular attendance is important in completing the program.
What Will Qualified Scholars Receive?
Those accepted into the scholarship may receive:
- Free SMAW NC II Training
- Free Competency Assessment
- ₱160 per day Training Support Fund
- Free Toolkit
Who Can Apply?
Interested applicants should meet the following qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old or above
- At least a High School or Senior High School graduate
- Must have completed SMAW NC I training, or
- Must be a holder of a SMAW NC I National Certificate
Since SMAW NC II builds on welding competencies learned at the NC I level, applicants should prepare proof of their previous SMAW NC I training or certification.
Documentary Requirements
Prepare the following documents before submitting your application:
- Birth Certificate
- Marriage Certificate, if married
- Diploma
- Valid ID
- SMAW NC I Certificate of Training or National Certificate
- 4 pieces passport-size photo, white background and formal attire
- 4 pieces 1x1 photo, white background and formal attire
- Long brown envelope
