Looking to upgrade your welding skills and earn a nationally recognized TESDA certification? The TESDA Regional Training Center – NCR (RTC-NCR) is now accepting applicants for the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II scholarship under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP).
If you already hold an SMAW NC I Certificate, this is a great opportunity to advance your qualifications through FREE training, FREE assessment, and other scholarship benefits.

Training Schedule
Night Class
- Monday to Friday
- 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday Class
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Training Duration
- 268 Hours
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold a valid SMAW NC I Certificate
- Have a Certificate of Indigency
- Be physically and mentally fit
- Be able to communicate both orally and in writing
- Have basic mathematical skills
Documentary Requirements
Prepare the following:
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate
- Photocopy of Previous School Record (High School or College – Diploma/TOR)
- Photocopy of Barangay Clearance or NBI Clearance
- Photocopy of a valid Government-issued ID with three specimen signatures
- Photocopy of Medical Certificate or Barangay Health Certificate (Physically Fit for TESDA Training)
- Two (2) latest 1×1 ID pictures (white background, formal attire)
- Photocopy of Certificate of Indigency
