FREE TESDA Cookery NC II Scholarship

The Sumulong College of Arts and Sciences (SCAS), in partnership with TESDA, is now accepting applicants for the Cookery NC II scholarship under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP).

This scholarship is designed to help aspiring cooks gain practical kitchen skills, earn a nationally recognized certificate, and improve their employment opportunities in the food service industry.

What is Cookery NC II?

Cookery NC II is a TESDA training program that equips learners with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills needed to work in commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels, cafés, and catering businesses.

During the training, participants will learn how to:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes
  • Practice proper food safety and sanitation
  • Handle kitchen tools and equipment correctly
  • Organize food preparation efficiently
  • Present dishes professionally
  • Apply workplace safety standards

Upon successful completion of the training and competency assessment, qualified participants may earn the TESDA National Certificate (NC II).

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • 18 years old and above
  • Resident of Antipolo District II (Calawis, Cupang, Dalig, Inarawan, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, and San Roque)
  • At least a Senior High School graduate or college level

Documentary Requirements

Interested applicants should prepare the following:

  • Four (4) pieces 1×1 ID photos (white background, formal attire)
  • Four (4) passport-size photos (white background, formal attire)
  • Photocopy of Report Card, Diploma, or Transcript of Records
  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate
  • Photocopy of Marriage Certificate (if married)
  • One (1) long plastic envelope
  • Original Certificate of Indigency
  • Photocopy of Voter's ID or Voter's Certificate
